YUP---still constipated!

So Jeriah has been SOOO constipated that when he tries to go to the bathroom he just screams and his face turns red if not purple and then he reaches out for me to hold him while he tries to go. While I am holding him...he is digging his little fingers into me because he is trying to push sooo hard. I feel so helpless. Well after he pushes really hard for a couple of minutes...i think ok he got something out...i go to look and there is NOTHING there. So I called my Doc and we went in and he gave me the same story...prunes, any juice that starts with a P. Pineapple, pear, prune...DONE THAT ALREADY. He can only have oatmeal cereal...DONE THAT ALREADY! Suppositories...DONE THAT!
So...he is on a strict prune diet. Yippee for him.
Well, we had some guests over last night and Jeriah was just wailing...so Matt and I get a thermometer...(not for the reason it is intended for) and we massage his little bum and then...we dig. Kinda really gross, but that's what the doc said to do as well. He said..if it doesn't come out...we go up. =( So while I was holding Jeriahs hand and talking to him Dad was diggin it out...poor baby...(Jeriah that is)
Well, I fed him 4 bottles of 100% prune juice earlier that day-doctors orders, well...onoce matt got the HARD stuff out...yeah...the prune juice came out. AWESOME!
Well we rap him up in his blanky-he felt a lot better after we got all that crap out...literally. LOL So we put him to bed. So he wakes up about 11:30pm, I get him and decided to check his diaper...when I open the blanket his onesie...is soaked in poop all the way to his chest! I was happy! It was bad enough that we stripped him down and put him in the tub-we considered throwing away the onesie..but decided to try and get the MASSIVE stain out. I was going to get a picture...but Jeriah was really upset..so we passed. Anyways..I think it's all flowing free for the moment.

On to not so gross of stuff....Jeriah will be 1 in 13 days...AAAAAHHHH! He insists on feeding himself..he actually does a pretty good job with filling the spoon up and getting it in his mouth or by his ear or between the eyes-how he can miss that far... I have no clue. It's always fun to clean up though.
The free skiing day is on Thursday-we are going to go but we're not going skiing. We want to save money for bills and things...so we are just going to go up and have Chili and hot chocolate and play games and just enjoy getting out. We are excited!
Well, I told Matt I would help him study and he is ready so...
I'm reading some interesting books, I will tell you about them later.

I feel so bad for that little pooper. That experience dosen't sound fun for any one involved, especially HIM!! I am so happy that he pooped everywhere too, what a relief (even if it was a gross one) What did the doc say, how long is this supposed to last?? Also, we may come with you on Thursday, and if you want I think we have extra snowboarding stuff you can borrow. Call me.

AWESOME!! We would love to have you guys come! I've never snowboarded before...so that might be a natural disaster waiting to happen...we'll see how ambitious I am feeling. I think we should put Matt on it definatley...that would be hilarious.!

SICK SICK SICK. that poor little man! The things we do as parents, I'm proud of you. If I can, I'll come over tomorrow and change a diaper or 2 for you, to give you some relief! HAHAHA.

That was Nathan for the first FIVE months. Trust me, it will happen again and again. I tried prunes, sapositories, you name it!!
I finally talked to my grandpa (who was a natural doctor and Chiropractor) about him getting constipated all the time and he said Nathan's lower back was out. He just put his lower back in and Nathan has NOT been constipated since. I didn't think him putting Nathan's lower back back in would help, but I am now a HUGE believer!!!

That is such a funny story. I read it to Micah and we were both laughing our heads off.

I have heard that apples, especially green apples are really good at unconstipating you. I would buy some green apples and juice them for Jeriah. I wouldn't buy the processed juice; it's junk.
